Kakahiaka is the Hawaiian word for morning. Morning on the leeward coast is a unique experience when you join us for our kakahiaka sail. You'll begin with a simple cultural experience at a beautiful peninsula site surrounded on three sides by the Pacific. Then we'll board the Island Princess where you'll be welcomed to enjoy tasty refreshments while listening to soothing island melodies. We then leave the shelter of Poka'i bay and our adventure begins.
We head along the coast for Makua Valley and visit many beautiful inlets where we drop our underwater camera to view the colorful marine life. Along the way you'll be treated to fantastic stories that share the romance, mystery, excitement and ambiance of our culture and history. After spending time with the dolphins and other sea life at Makua we head back to our starting point where you'll disembark and transit to our dining facility, the all new Wai'anae Coast Healing Pavilion where a simple and tasty stress free meal awaits you with an absolutely breathtaking view.
