Pretty good (with one issue) The trip itself was very good; there were lots of whales to see and the captain shared quite a bit of information throughout the trip via a loudspeaker.

My only negative about the trip was a distasteful (at least to me and my wife) plea for tips by the captain over the loudspeaker as we were ending the trip. It was really quite a long, drawn-out request for money even specifying how much everyone should tip. Loudspeaker statements such as "People come up and ask me, 'Captain, how much should I tip?'. 'What's a usual amount?' I tell them a typical amount is at least $10 per person or $20 per couple."

So many whales! We had an amazing trip and saw so many whales exhibiting many different behaviors. The crew was very helpful and informative. It was incredible when the captain put the microphone in the water and we could hear how noisy it was down there - so much communication going on!
We could have stayed out all day, just watching.

Best Whale Watching! Rated a 5! Larger boat for whale watching. Great commentary about whales and smooth ride. Highly recommend for families and any age viewer.

Many whales. Poor checkin process. 4 stars because we saw lots of whales.

Parking is cheap but you need a smart phone to pay.

Checking in was stupid IMO because we waited in line at Boss Froggs, got halfway through the line, they ran out of time, so they told us to just go to the boat and check in there. It’s a long walk for anyone with mobility issues so with no time it makes it a rush for nothing, when we could have just gone to the boat in the first place at an easier pace. Makes no sense.

Water was very rough. At least half a dozen people threw up.

Been on many whale watches and usually the captain turns the boat from side to side so everyone gets an opportunity to see the whales when they are spotted. On this cruise he seemed to always “park” directly in front of the whales so the people at the front got a good view and others didn’t. In fairness maybe it was difficult to manoeuvre the boat in the rough seas this time. It was equally difficult for passengers to move to where the view was best without falling down.

Very knowledgeable commentary throughout the cruise with lots of good information shared.

Can’t blame the operator for the rough seas. I think the check in process should be moved to the boat slip. We have done that on other whale watches at Maalaea. It’s simple and easy.

Overall we enjoy the ocean rafts more than these larger boats.

Disappointed The captain and crew were great, but the Excursion should have probably been canceled as it rained the entire time and everyone got drenched. Maybe due to the weather, we saw only a few whales. Disappointing.

Great experience! Highly recommend. We had a fabulous time. Sit up front if you want to see everything! We saw multiple whales including a baby. One whale breeched several times as it moved closer to our boat. Then the whale went under the boat to the other side. The narrative was perfect and the crew was fabulous. We highly recommend Quicksilver.

Whales are active! The baby whales were jumping out of the water! The waiters were attentive with drinks. The crew were respectful of the whales. Very enjoyable!
