Highly recommended!!!
Awesome, up close with sharks in the cage, would go again for sure!
We got on the boat and were given some instructions. Caleb and Leon were great. I think it was about 3 miles out to were the Galapagos sharks were. They started circling as soon as we got there. It was super easy to get in the cage and I never felt nervous for my safety. My daughter has never snorkeled before and said she wished she would have wore her own goggles. A friend let me borrow her GoPro, while I'm thankful for the videos and pictures, I wish I would have kept my hands free so I could move around more. There are bars inside that you can stand on or hold onto. You do get jostled around a little bit but it wasn't too bad.
I felt more nauseas after getting back on the boat and it looked like other people did too. So I would recommend taking Dramamine or another similiar medication.
If you have an iPhone, they can transfer you the videos immediately. Caleb said that he would transfer me the videos via a Google Drive after their last tour. He was true to his word, I received an email from him stating that they were loading and an approximate wait time. And then I received another email with the Google Drive when it was uploaded.
Tips-wear polarized sun glasses for the best view from above the water. The staff also recommended earlier excursions have calmer water than afternoon. If you need it, take your motion sickness medicine before getting on the boat!
I agree with the previous reviewer that the pre-activity gathering place can get a big confusing. Parking also was a bit tight when we arrived.
We also thought there would be more discussion regarding shark habitats and conservation efforts.
With that said, seeing multiple sharks inches from you is an awesome experience.
The only criticism I have is that there are a couple of dive companies that launch from the same harbour location, and there really isn't any defined waiting area that separates the companies, so you really have to listen out for your dive times, or you could miss out on your dive. But other than that, it was amazing and I would recommend North Shore shark adventures to anyone who wants to dive with sharks.
