Thumbs up from a long time local. My wife and I live in Kailua Kona and have seen a lot of large snorkel boats over the years take out tourists to see our beautiful reefs and shoreline. By far the best of those is the Body Glove. The boat is clean, roomy, there is plenty of shade, and the crew are top notch. We were greeted by Captain Bob as we boarded the vessel and Jacob took special care of us when on the boat or in the water. He was like our bud by the end of the day. Captain Bob served up plenty of stories as we saw certain features on the coastline and always sounded like he was enjoying the ride along with the rest of us. Five Stars.

Great Excursion On A 3 Level Catamaran We purchased the 4.5 hour catamaran snorkeling excursion on the big island of Hawaii for our 2 daughters, ages 29 and 17. They absolutely loved it and had a fabulous time! They loved the slide, diving board and especially that they had the opportunity to paddle board. They were taken to a beautiful bay area only accessible by boat and the water was gorgeous. They opted not to eat the breakfast and lunch to avoid getting sea sick, but all the other amenities and the staff were wonderful. Definitely worth the money!

5 adults, 3 kids, and a 2 month old Deluxe Snorkel & Dolphin Watch
Thursday, November 24 2022 @ 8:00am - 12:30pm

We had an amazing experience and I can't believe it took me this long to write this review. I searched for weeks for the perfect tour since I was taking my 2 month old. We have done snorkeling tours in the past but with 4 kids we needed one that was safe, clean, and still had a chance to go out into the water.

The staff was extremely helpful. I was adamant that I could take all the kids in the water and they safely assisted all of us, even my 2 month old as they held him for me while I got on the paddleboard. My husband thought it couldn't happen, but it did! So thankful.

Food was amazing and we were stuffed from the beginning to the end of the trip.
It was windy, which was expected so we were prepared.
I was able to bring my stroller on board.

Just make sure you get there 45 minutes early so you have time to walk to the location. We were running!!

Amazing activity for a family with teens! Our family, especially our teens, had a great time on this cruise! It was so well organized and safe. The staff were really informative and fun. Our captain was captain Bob and he shared some cool spots on the coast with us. Mikhail was the first to help us and got us some juice and water. We got tips and information from Kyler about other snorkelling spots and local animals. Maddison gave us our safety talk and watched out for us while we were in the water. When a child fell off a paddle board (with their parent) she dove in right away to check they were okay. Cosmo got the beginner snorkelers orientated to the equipment which my husband attended (and I should have because my snorkel needed some adjusting) Getting in and out of the water was easy because there was always at least 2 staff members there to help. I can't remember the name of the person who helped my family get in & out (May have been Chris? He had cool green hair) He made sure our equipment was on right and fixed what needed to be fixed. The snorkelling was fantastic for us! It was wavier than we were used to but they offered life vests and pool noodles. My older teens and I didn't use anything and had a great time. We actually saw a sea turtle! My oldest saw an eel far down in the reef.
On the way there we saw humpback whales and learned a bit about their journey and what we were likely seeing (2 males vying for a female) But it was absolutely amazing when we saw dolphins! And one was a baby! They ended up racing in front of our boat and then leaping in the waves in our wake. This activity was worth it and I hope that I can go on it again one day.

Roll of the Dice... We have been on cruises with this company many times. That is why we selected them during our most recent vacation to the Big Island.

Our snorkel cruise was originally scheduled for Tuesday of the week of our trip. Weather conditions caused a cancellation. We rebooked the last day we could, hoping the ocean would calm down a bit.

The crew was nice. Ariel was the most attentive. One of the male crew was trying to get phone numbers from the young ladies on the cruise. Seemed a couple of notches short of professional.

The music was in poor taste and it was very loud. This has historically been a very family friendly outing, we expect PG music. Bad, grating music was a huge negative for us. In the past, they always played island themed, delightful music. Not this time.

One of the things we have loved about our previous Body Glove cruises has been the hot meal served after snorkeling. Imagine our disappointment to have cold food instead of hot. Cold cheeseburgers were a huge disappointment.

One can get a cold deli sandwich on any of the many tours offered by other providers.

Body Glove can't control the weather, or the water conditions. They can control their staff, the music they play and the quality of the food they serve. The music and the food were very disappointing to us.

It is impossible to articulate how badly I wish we had an experience deserving of a better rating.

Awesome boat, awesome crew; snorkeling not as awesome Body Glove provided a great boat that was not overcrowded. Despite the number of people on our tour—around 90 according to Captain Bob—we had our own family space to enjoy the trip. The crew, including Mikhael, was friendly and attentive. While we were moving, they ensured customers were well-hydrated and informed of the areas we were passing (thanks to Capt Bob’s nice narration). When we were stopped, they kept a close eye on the folks swimming and snorkeling around the boat. They also provided a tasty BBQ hamburger lunch. The high jump and water slide were two components of the boat that lured my teenagers to this company, and both options were great. Others seemed to enjoy the stand-up paddle boards and large water mats. The one item that did not meet expectations was the quality of snorkeling. The area, which may have been called “Ridges,” did not contain almost any fish. I may have seen only three small ones during my thirty minutes. Perhaps nature was just not cooperating that day, but I have never seen so few fish on a journey billed as a snorkeling tour. Hopefully this was just an isolated event. Besides that, the trip was great.

Fun, Fun, Fun My wife and I and friends booked this excursion through our company while we were in Kona. It was fabulous! The boat holds quite a few people but we never felt crowded. The captain and crew were outstanding in every way. They talked with the guests and always made sure to see if the guests required anything. We were served a continental breakfast on boarding the catamaran and while snorkeling they grilled hamburgers/cheeseburgers with all the fixings. It was a great day. The snorkeling is a protected cove and there were plenty of fish to see. The crew extended every hospitality you could imagine. To top it off, the captain made sure we saw a number of dolphins on the way back to the pier. Do not hesitate to book this excursion....you will not regret it!

Great from beginning to end! The crew was amazing! Every one went above and beyond! They were very friendly and helpful! We took the 8am ride and they provided complimentary breakfast. Enjoyed the views during the boat ride and we got to see dolphins as we cruised along. Once we got to our snorkeling destination, we saw dolphins again! They came so close to the boat and must of known we were watching because they were jumping and spinning through the water! Lunch was served (vegan,gluten-free options available). They had a fun slide, water toys, overall, great experience! I would recommend this excursion.

Must Do activity on the Big Island I took my family (Wife ,9 year old son and 15 year old daughter) on the Deluxe Snorkel and Dolphin Watch last week and we had a phenomenal time. Captain Bob and his crew were outstanding.

The continental breakfast was a great way to start the day and the burgers served for lunch hit the spot! We were very fortunate in that we saw multiple pods of dolphins throughout the day which was great. The snorkel spot was a lot of fun and we appreciated the crew's focus and energy behind safety. They had multiple people in the water at times to ensure everyone was good. The snorkel gear provided was great and the various flotation devices- SUPs, Boards, Noodles were a nice touch.

The water slide and jumping platform were a lot of fun as well. The bartender was very nice and poured great drinks! And topping off the trip with cookies was just great.

We'd do this trip again in a heartbeat!
