Oli was simply the MOST Amazing Guide!!!! We truly enjoyed the Pearl Harbour Remembered Tour particularly because of our tour guide and driver…. Oli.

Oli began the day creating wonderful and warm participation from everyone on the bus and drove us through so many of the sights of Honolulu as we made our way to Pearl Harbour. One of the things I particularly wanted to comment on and was impressed by was Oli’s storytelling and knowledge of the story of how Pearl Harbour came to be. He made a subtle shift from warmth and humour and told the story with what I can only say was a spirit of reverence for us all. It really was the highlight of the day and I can truly say that even if we missed the actual sights, we would have been equally informed and educated thanks to Oli.

If you can get on this tour ask to be booked with Oli. He made our day and visit to this scared space so memorable!!!

Returning to Pearl Harbor: A Second Visit to the USS Arizona, Mighty Mo & Immersive Attack Experience Imagine stepping onto the pier at dawn, the Pacific breeze in your hair, and suddenly there it is—the sunken hull of the USS Arizona rising out of the water. That’s how your journey into Pearl Harbor’s history begins.

I returned for my second visit in January 2025, and even though I already knew the story, the awe never faded. First, ensure your tour includes the USS Arizona Memorial stop. You’ll have about 15–20 minutes to stand in respectful silence, read the more than 1,100 names etched into the walls, and truly grasp why December 7th should never be forgotten. It’s a powerful moment for reflection.

Just a short boat ride away sits the majestic USS Missouri—the “Mighty Mo.” On my first trip, I only saw it from the deck, but this time I went inside. Exploring its narrow corridors, original machinery, and officers’ quarters felt like stepping back in time. Fair warning: the staircases are steep and cramped, so take it slow and wear comfortable shoes.

But Pearl Harbor isn’t just about battleships. Carve out plenty of time to roam the various museums and exhibits that weave together stories of bravery and sacrifice across the Pacific. You’ll be doing a lot of walking—bring good footwear and plan for breaks at the snack stands dotted around the grounds.

For extra convenience, look for a tour that includes hotel pick-up and drop-off. It makes your day worry-free, and you won’t miss a moment. And yes, feel free to bring your camera. I captured some of my favorite shots with a 360° camera that still gives me chills.

Yet the most unforgettable part of both visits was the immersive attack-recreation presentation. Through lights, sound effects, and narration, you’re transported back to that fateful morning—an experience that leaves a profound impact on every visitor.

If you love uncovering places rich in history and meaning, check out my other reviews. Your next cultural adventure is just around the corner!

Nani Popolo is the Bomb This is the best way to visit Pearl Harbor, USS Missouri, and USS Bowfin (extra fee, which is nominal if you purchase the tickets yourself). Our tour guide, Nani Popolo, greeted us with an Aloha smile as we boarded the double-decker bus. The Hawaiian music is playing and Nani is singing along. He makes you wish you were on the beach sipping a cocktail
A short tour of some of Honolulu's downtown landmarks is included as we make our way out to Pearl Harbor. Once at Pearl Harbor we are given our instructions and let loose. We were dropped off at 9:10 a.m. and picked up at 2:00 p.m. We had more than enough time to tour the Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri, USS Bowfin, a snack break, lunch break, and meet/converse with new friends.

Memorable bucket list tour The weather was perfect rode the tour, the open deck tour bus was on time and the driver is extremely courteous and friendly. He remembered my name from the beginning and his narration was great. Just remembe to bring a clear bag or only a wallet because you’ll have to pay for locker or buy bag. There was confusion with where to line up for the Arizona but it wasn’t the guide’s mistake it was the park rangers who didn’t explain. My tour picked me at 10 in Waikiki which is ideal for me. I’m a black solo female traveler and I was treated with respect. Some customers were a little cold though but in general everyone was nice. Mahalo!

Interesting and informative tour Very interesting tour, with a witty but serious when necessary and informative driver, Oli. An hour longer would have been useful. Only downside was the air museum which we paid extra for when most of the planes were outside, and hanger 79 was almost empty. Not the tour’s fault, but would have been useful to know as we wouldn’t have wasted the money on an additional ticket. Overall would recommend as an interesting and informative tour which picked us up from our hotel.

Pretty looking brown man is awesome! Nani was an amazing tour guide kept it light and breezy while we were all waking up and started feeding us the history of Oahu and Hawaii as we cruised through the City. He was knowledgeable and very personable. Enjoyed our visit to Waikiki and to Pearl Harbor and Nani was a big part of it.

Pearl Harbor Remembered- Must Do if you're a visitor to Oahu I want to provide feedback on the excellent Pearl Harbor Remembered tour that I did with 4 friends and family members on November 21, departing from Aulani in Ko Olina with tour guide Aaron. It was a wonderful day and Aaron helped us understand the Hawaiian language and culture. My sister required an electric scooter and Aaron could not have been more accommodating or kind. Pearl Harbor is a "must see" on Oahu- a very moving memorial to those who fought so valiantly for our freedom. Also loved the tour of the USS Missouri. Thank you for an exceptional experience!
