Happy Hana Holiday The Road to Hana is an absolutely unforgettable experience, and having Kim as our guide made it truly exceptional. Kim told incredible stories, shared local culture and history, and brought a really personal touch to the day. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving us an amazing experience, and it showed in every stop along the way.We learned about Hawaiian culture while taking in breathtaking scenery at every turn. We swam in a waterfall pool, again at the black sand beach, where the waves were incredible. Later, seeing the turtles sleeping peacefully at Green Turtle Beach with all the surfers was such a cool moment. Along the way we also spotted tons of chickens and cows, which added to the charm of the journey.Highlights also included stopping for the famous banana bread (so good!) and chocolate. Hana itself is a truly special gem beautiful, peaceful, and unforgettable. And wow… what a road to drive on! Winding, dramatic, and stunning the entire way, but no fear thanks to Kim’s continuous safe driving. Huge shout-out to Kim for a fantastic day great stories, and a truly memorable adventure. And she somehow managed to finish the trip perfectly with a spectacular sunset complete with Humpback whales breaching right in front of us. A fantastic day for our family and memory for a lifetime. We highly recommend!

Amazing Tour! Kim was amazing! We loved our tour. It took all day and it was amazing hearing all the information, facts, and Hawaiian tradition. The sandwiches for lunch were really good. Free water and snacks throughout the day. It was nice having them pick us up from our Ka’anapali resort. We would absolutely book with Hana and Beyond Tours again.

Almost a private botanical, historical tour of Maui! This tour exceeded all our expectations, and the primary reason was that our guide Corey was incredibly knowledgeable. He identified plants, geological features, island history, important landmarks. He was well informed about native and introduced and invasive species. His driving skills were outstanding and he paid attention to safety at every turn. His pacing of the tour and stops along the way was exactly right. He asked us whether we'd like a silence break from his steady stream of information. He was well versed in the land ownership history of Maui, water use, agricultural history--and very interesting to listen to. Aside from this incredible guide, this is one tour you might avoid driving yourself, as the driver MUST watch constantly for oncoming traffic and tail-gaters.If you drive it yourself you will same some money but the driver will see very little. There was light mist at times, sun at other times, beaches, waterfalls, masses of green turtles and an ample lunch. Pick up and return was on time. The trip duration was shown as 9 hours, but 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. is 11 hours, not 9. Finally, our minivan was clean and seated 8-9 people, and just 6 people were in our group, plus driver. I highly recommend choosing a tour with a small number of riders.

Road to Hana The whole trip was amazing. The guide was local which was beneficial to get the perfect places at the stops and have data that not everyone had. Beautiful landscapes.

Road to Hana could have been better While the road to Hana tour allowed us to see a large part of Maui that we would not have seen, we did not enjoy our tour guide. We were provided with all of the necessary safety guidelines and he was watchful of the comfort level of everyone in the van, but he continued to tell many stories of his own relationship and the alcohol consumption involved. We felt that the tour allowed us to see a surface overview of the east side of then island, but we were not at any stop long enough to really explore or enjoy it.The lunch was basic and the venue for eating lunch did not allow the group to mingle and get to know each other. After our Road to Hana tour we took the tour to Haleakala for sunrise with a different tour company and we learned so much more about the culture and history of Hawaii.
