Memorable tour Doing the road to Hana tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide Damien was great. He was a "local boy" and shared so much information about the history of Hana and Hawaii. Learning about Hawaiian culture was the highlight of our trip, let alone the beauty we witnessed! We enjoyed seeing the beauty this island has and will forever cherish this memory. Lunch was very good too! Everything about this trip was 5 star in our book. Highly recommend taking the Tour to Hana in visiting Maui.

Wonderful day to Hana and back We had a wonderful tour with Damian! He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour van was very comfortable and the lunch was very tasty. We booked Hana and Beyond on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. I highly recommend this tour.

Beatiful Road to Hana This tour was a fabulous experience for the entire family! Our guide, Damien, told many stories about his family and the Hawaiian culture, and about the local history. He had our entire group engaged, and he made sure we got the important photos! The ride was captivating! Damien went above and beyond to give us an experience our family will talk about for years to come!

Road to Hana Great day on the Road to Hana! Damian aka "The Local Boy" was an awesome guide and driver. We were entertained, saw amazing scenery and learned about Hawaiian culture and the rainforest. So much better than driving ourselves! Highly recommend!

Dissapointed I will say that the tour itself is one to take if you are in Maui, the breathtaking views while on the road, the several waterfalls, the black sand beach, the visit to the turtles and of course the stop for banana bread at Auntie Sandy's, that yes... it was the best banana bread I ever had.We made the most important stops, part of the road was closed due to a mud/rock slide, but we still could make it.My rating is due to the fact, that we spent the whole tour feeling isolated on the back of the van, as there was no microphone and the guide/driver (local young lady), was interacting, commenting and answering questions to those closer to her. She explained she liked to have her window open, so even more noise and we only were getting bits and pieces of what it felt like great information but not for us.Luckily as the time exiting the van on the stops, we were "reminded" of the time to be back, she stayed away from the group by the van on her phone not coming with us at any point.Having just finished the volcano tour at the Big Island, with an "all hands on deck" guide using a microphone, this was a big let down. Not the driver's fault the van had no microphone, but she could at least have asked if we could hear in the back.

Road to Hana Sean was a great tour director/driver. Made an effort to connect with all of us and remember specifics about each family on the tour. He did a wonderful job of explaining the history and anecdotal stories along the way. We were able to stop and see some of the attractions that we would’ve missed if we’d tried the drive on our own.

Scenic tour but uninformative and over priced The tour took us to beautiful places, the waterfall, black sand beach, turtle beach and Road to Hana itself were stunning. However, the tour guide provided minimal commentary and only at the beginning of the tour. He did not use a microphone so I could barely hear anything from the back of the van. After the waterfall (2nd stop) he stopped providing commentary and I did not know anything about where we were driving through or the stops we were making. This was not worth the $220 USD (nearly $300 Canadian) paid, as I would expect the guide to be educated and informative. It was a lot of money to spend for basically someone to drive you around. Also, lunch was a simple sandwich with chips.. nothing special.

Laughs Along The Way The tour guide Sean/Shawn was amazing! Very personable, knowledgeable, hilarious, personable and great listener. He told us Hawaiian folklore, explained the meaning of Hawaiian waterfall names along the drive, made sure we were safe when coming back from our stops, laughed with us and overall provided a lovely day of touring with him. The van was clean, food was good, drove safely and made sure all of us were comfortable with the AC in the van.
